Session 2: Assessment Skills, SBAR, Compassionate Communication
Duration: 1.5 hours

  • Enhance observation and documentation techniques for early detection of health concerns

  • Reinforce the link between accurate assessments and timely care interventions

·Apply the SBAR framework for clear, structured, and effective communication among care teams

  • Practice using SBAR in real-world scenarios to improve team coordination

  • Promote consistent and professional communication during shift reports and escalations

Develop compassionate communication techniques to support resident-centered and culturally sensitive care

  • Use empathy and emotional intelligence to navigate difficult conversations

Session 3: Emotional Support, Communication & Self-Care

    • Recognizing grief, anxiety, and depression

    • Providing compassionate emotional and spiritual support
